She was such a beautiful girl. When a girl told me what happened this morning, I didn’t believe it. I thought it must have been a rumor or something. But then, my first period teacher told us that Danielle Orna had passed away last night. Immediately my eyes filled with tears as I saw Danielle’s best friend break down crying. I was able to hold it in, until I saw my friends in the hallway after the class…seeing them sad like I was made me start crying. Danielle was such an amazing person who I wish I had gotten to know better. She was one of my sister’s closest friends and was at my house a few times—I wish I had talked to her more. She was one of the sweetest girls I’ve ever met and always had a smile on her face. I had just talked to her yesterday, she seemed so happy.  Though I knew she had some issues that not many knew about, I never thought it would come to this. She was so happy yesterday, I’m sure no one expected it was because of what she was planning to do. But even though it’s easy to dwell on the “what ifs” I think it’s just important to remember what a great person she was. It’s sad how it takes death to recognize that. RIP Danielle Orna. You are missed. <3
